Meet fellow collectors

The conventions hosted by Toy Stitchers International create the link for sharing valuable knowledge and excitement about collecting toy sewing machines. More importantly, our organization provides an opportunity to meet fellow toy sewing machine collectors, which often results in the development of lifelong friendships. Attending the convention is a great opportunity to continue to learn, visit with friends, and meet the new members of our organization.

Toy sewing machine trends

Many toy sewing machine collections have grown and improved in quality, desirability, and value. Thanks to the Internet and particularly eBay, the market exploded over the past 15 to 20 years. This trend allows us to view and buy many toy sewing machines we would have otherwise never had the opportunity to even encounter!

Market Changes

Yes, the market has changed drastically, and we have learned a great deal along the way. One good example is how much we now know about which of those toy sewing machines are exceptionally rare and valuable, and those which were thought to be rare but are not.

Toy Stitchers turns 29

Toy Stitchers turns 29 this year. Claire Toschi started it all on September 1, 1990, and as she says, “with 15 toy sewing machine collectors, one typewriter, and a bottle of correction fluid.” Our deepest gratitude and thank you to Claire Toschi.
